About AIESEC
# 1: How did you join AIESEC?
I wanted to fulfill my free time with sth practical. There was some boy story behind, but when I joined I do not remember the story anymore :)
#2: Why did you decided to go on internship in AIESEC?
That step was quite obvious for me as I spend in AIESEC 4 years already. Mainly I wanted to experience different things and to decide about my life by myself.
#1: Where are you working?
Alcatel-Lucent rocks!
#2: How long will your internship last?
One year, till end of August.
#1: In a few words, what is your home country/region all about?
Poland is about having good time with great people into beautiful surroundings. You have to go there at least once!
Place I know the most is Krakow, my beautiful, lovely student city with amazing main market square, castle, dragon and unique pubs around.
#2: Tell us a bit about the most distinctive features about your country/region (folklore, food, drinks, carnivals or other festivities, etc.)
• almost 40 milion people and…
• Zubrowka and zoladkowa - drinks which make you happy,
• Most popular dance: Polonez (also car brand?)
• Beginning of May-crazy student festival-no classes but parties for almost 2 weeks!
• Pierogi
• Bigos
• OMG-I am hungry when writing these names
• Robert Kubica, Adam Malysz, Otylia Jedrzejczak-polish current sport stars
• Any familiar name: Chopin(music), Lech Walesa(politician), Marie Curie-Sklodowska, Robert Polanski(film), Pope John Paul II, Nicholas Copernicus, Twins? ?
# 3: What do you think is a very interesting feature or custom about your culture? (think about internationals saying, "wow, this is crazy!")
beautiful girls, challenge to learn the language, parties time and amount of alcohol there, real 4 seasons during the year, exellent food, good prices, hospitality….
nltr: you cannot find beers that are under 5Ocl ! Polish are serious drinkers !
# 4: One last word to end our interview?
Kiss.

Watch this !
One nice initiatives from YOU, the trainees side, would be doing country presentations. Why should you do this? Simply to promote your culture to other trainees and AIESEC members in order to be able to live more the value of "Living Diversity". How? Get in touch with trainees that are of the same nationality as you. Decide upon a place and date where it will happen. Prepare a nice country presentation and traditional stuff. Send this information to Gaëtan (gaetan.bouteiller@gmail.com) so he can promote it on the interns newsletter.
Housing
As we all are living in a foreign country we have some needs (finding accommodation, furniture, laptops, useful information, etc.). In order to make this settling down process more easy for all of us, if you know some good deals (someone leaves from Belgium and gives away furniture for free, there is a cool apartment next to yours at a cool price, you want to give away something, you hear about a cool concert happening in Belgium) send a mail on the interns group and let everybody know.
Have a good week !
