Mumbai (Slumdog Millionaire City), India

# 2: When is your Birthday?

8th June

# 3: A favorite drink?

* Non Alcoholic - Coconut Water

* Alcoholic - Tripel Karmeleit (tried it in Belgium)

# 4: A positive feature about yourself?

Easy going, always willing to try/do new things.

# 5: Your favourite band?

Easy going, always willing to try/do new things.

# 6: I wish I could, but I can't...

trade my 3 month Winter CEED for a 3 month Summer CEED.

About AIESEC

# 1: How did you join AIESEC?

Back in 2006, a close friend told me about this cool organisation that sends you abroad on internships. Organisation that allows you to travel I had to join it :)

# 2: What responsabilities did you took through AIESEC?

* Organising Commitee President for Local Conference and for a Project based on Exchange

* MT exchanges ICX

#3: Why did you decided to go on CEED in AIESEC?

Because it would give me the oppurtunity to work with AIESEC in another country. It has been really amazing to see how AIESEC mumbai and AIESEC Belgium function. Lot of similarites, alot of differences. Traineeship after this for sure... just to go to another country, make new friends and live a new experience.

About Belgium

#1: Where are you working?

With AIESEC in Belgium the Member Commitee (MC Office)

#2: How long will your internship last?

3 months, about 40 more days to go :(

About your culture

#1: In a few words, what is your home country/region all about?

Diverse, contrasting, extremely rich and extremely poor in one city. Great food and extremely cheap. Warm and humid weather, extremely pretty beach fronts. Pretty western, nice clubs and bars, yet very Indian.

#2: Tell us a bit about the most distinctive features about your country/region (folklore, food, drinks, carnivals or other festivities, etc.)

Well, all festivals combined in the country India celebrates over 100 festivals. So a festival every three days. Hinduism is steeped in rituals and folklore, so festivals involve alot of eating, singing, dancing, idol worship and fire crackers.

# 3: What do you think is a very interesting feature or custom about your culture? (think about internationals saying, "wow, this is crazy!")

Not only unique to Indian culture, but strictly followed is...that guests are God. So if you ever visit an Indian Household you will be treated to some amazing hospitality. Fed till your tummy bursts.

# 4: One last word to end our interview?

hmmm....please come for more intern events:) Or 'really loving Europe' as an Indian would say...'Its Awesome!!!'

Thank you for your time :)

5. Your contribution?

Country Presentations

One nice initiatives from YOU, the trainees side, would be doing country presentations. Why should you do this? Simply to promote your culture to other trainees and AIESEC members in order to be able to live more the value of "Living Diversity". How? Get in touch with trainees that are of the same nationality as you. Decide upon a place and date where it will happen. Prepare a nice country presentation and traditional stuff. Send this information to Gaëtan (gaetan.bouteiller@gmail.com) so he can promote it on the interns newsletter.

Housing

As we all are living in a foreign country we have some needs (finding accommodation, furniture, laptops, useful information, etc.). In order to make this settling down process more easy for all of us, if you know some good deals (someone leaves from Belgium and gives away furniture for free, there is a cool apartment next to yours at a cool price, you want to give away something, you hear about a cool concert happening in Belgium) send a mail on the interns group and let everybody know.
